Our design team collaborates with offices and departments to develop effective communication strategies tailored to their target audiences. We produce print and digital materials based on the most appropriate communication channels for each project.

Projects are prioritized according to institutional strategic initiatives and our production calendar, which tracks all design work from request through final delivery. With more than 200 projects in progress each semester, work is scheduled several weeks in advance to ensure deadlines are met. The earlier your project request is submitted, the better.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process, all required materials should be included with your request, including final approved copy and any suggested images or supporting assets. Projects are added to our production queue once all necessary information and files have been received.

Project Timelines

The minimum turnaround time for a repeat project is 2-3 weeks. Repeat projects include those that:

  • Use an existing design with no modifications.
  • Require minimal updates such as minor copy changes, dates or speaker names.
  • Utilize the University's copy center printing services.

If professional printing or working with an external vendor is required, please add 1-2 weeks to each timeline.

The minimum turnaround time for a new project, which may include copy, photography or graphics, is 5-8 weeks. All required materials, including final approved copy, must be submitted before work can begin.

For longer publications such as reports or brochures exceeding four pages, the minimum turnaround time is 8 weeks.

If professional printing or working with an external vendor is required, please add 1-2 weeks to each timeline.

Projects are considered "rapid delivery" if they require a significantly accelerated timeline and must be prioritized over other scheduled work on the production calendar.

Please contact Jennifer Zevon, creative director, to discuss your request.
