Living and Dining

Campus residence hall

The Office of Residence Life provides safe and healthy living spaces that support your personal and academic aspirations. By living on campus, our students connect with a community of peers and become considerate neighbors who learn from each other. Through creative and educational programming, we foster positive connections and empower social growth.

Living on Campus

Living on campus offers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to connect with new people, seek out a student organization or attend an intriguing event. Situated along the famed Cliff Walk, our coastal campus is quite walkable and features 21 historically significant structures.

Our distinctive campus has been designated a Level II arboretum, with mature and exotic trees dotting the landscape. You can easily venture into downtown Newport on foot or by public transportation to extend your experience.

First-Year Residence Halls

Located near academic buildings, our first-year residence halls offer the perfect introduction to campus living. These residence halls feature communal spaces and additional opportunities for you to develop new friendships and pursue new campus interests.

The Newport Advantage

Discover the best of what New England has to offer on our oceanside campus in Newport, Rhode Island. Unlike most places in America, "historic Newport" is not a term used to describe one street or section of the city landscape - it is the landscape. Newport’s concentration of preserved architecture, historic structures and ocean views provide plenty of opportunities for you to explore the city we call home.
