Naval War College Partnership
Salve Regina University has an articulation agreement with the U.S. Naval War College to provide credit exchange to its students. The University offers two types of benefits for War College students:
- War College students earning an 18-credit diploma may be eligible to transfer up to 18 of those credits into a master's degree program at Salve. This means a 36-credit master's degree could be earned in just 18 credits.
- War College graduates and current students may earn a second master's degree from Salve by completing at least 24 credit hours (eight graduate courses) at the University. Of the 24 credit hours required, six credits (two courses) may be free electives completed outside the War College degree plan or conferred degree. These six credits may be transferred from the War College with the approval of the graduate program director at Salve.

Application and Admissions Requirements
- Create an account and submit an online application form at admissions.salve.edu. There is no application fee.
- Resume or military biography
- Personal statement
- Official transcript showing the conferral of your bachelor’s degree. The transcript must show your courses and grades.
- Official transcripts must come to us directly from your school. We understand that some countries only give one original lifetime copy to the student. If this is the case, please bring your original documents to the admissions office. We will make a copy and consider that official.
- Transcripts must be translated to English. This can be done by your school or an official translator from your country.
Non-Matriculating Courses
Non-matriculated means you have not yet been accepted to Salve. If you would like to enroll in two courses as a non-matriculating student while you complete your application, please email us a copy of your diploma (certificate) showing your undergraduate degree and a completed registration form.
Payment
Ask your Navy about reimbursement or direct pay. Salve has a history of many governments and navies who have paid tuition directly to the University.

These rates are in effect for the 2026-2027 academic year. Tuition rates and fees are subject to change each academic year without prior notice. The University and the Board of Trustees reserve the right to change tuition and fees to reflect economic conditions.
