Wealth Management Minor
Salve Regina University's minor in wealth management introduces students to the principles of managing financial assets for individuals, families and institutions. In the process, they learn the tools, frameworks and standards used by wealth managers, financial planners and investment professionals worldwide.
Coursework emphasizes goals-based financial planning, investment and portfolio construction, retirement planning, risk management and tax-aware decision-making. Through case studies, portfolio analysis and practical exercises, students learn how financial professionals help clients build, preserve and transfer wealth across generations.
The curriculum introduces concepts central to leading professional credentials such as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, widely recognized as the standard for professional financial planning, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program in investment management.
In addition to developing technical skills, students build critical thinking, communication and ethical decision-making abilities while connecting with faculty and industry professionals who provide mentorship throughout the program.

Students in the Investment Club apply classroom knowledge through virtual trading platforms by analyzing market trends, evaluating investment strategies and monitoring portfolio performance.
