Circle of Scholars
Spring 2026 Registration
Spring class registration will open Wednesday, Feb. 4 at noon.
Since 1994, Salve Regina University’s Circle of Scholars has provided enriching educational experiences that inspire lifelong learning and intellectual engagement. The program offers classes on a wide range of subjects, including literature, history, science, music, art, philosophy, economics and political science. Classroom sessions are designed to enlighten, challenge and entertain members, promoting both knowledge and community connection.
Membership
Anyone 50 years of age and older is eligible to join the Circle of Scholars. There is no residence or formal education requirement, only a strong desire to learn, to explore new fields of knowledge and to meet new people. The membership fee is $100 per person each academic year. Only members may register for Circle of Scholars classes.
Program Highlights
Members are eligible to participate in more than 150 class offerings during the fall and spring terms of the academic year. Along with qualified instructors, members will find engaged students who bring a wealth of experience and perspective to each session.
All members become part of Salve Regina University’s learning community. In addition to attending classes, Circle of Scholars members may use the McKillop Library and computer labs; library cards are available upon request. Members also receive a parking pass and are encouraged to attend theater productions, Pell Center lectures, and other University events. Each June, Salve hosts a reception for members at Ochre Court to celebrate the Circle of Scholars community.
Current Program Catalog
The Circle of Scholars offers a full program each fall and spring. These thought-provoking classes are designed for members who seek intellectual growth and enjoy exploring a variety of subjects. The catalog includes class titles, detailed descriptions, instructor profiles and scheduling information. Participation is exclusively available to Circle of Scholars members.
