Army ROTC Program
Salve Regina University partners with the University of Rhode Island to offer students the opportunity to join the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), a premier leadership development program open to all undergraduates.
Whether completed over four years or through flexible three- and two-year pathways, Army ROTC seamlessly complements any major while equipping students with valuable professional skills and leadership experience.
Through military science electives and hands-on training, students grow into confident leaders prepared for future roles in the Army or beyond. While there’s no obligation to serve upon enrollment, physically qualified U.S. citizens who complete the program are eligible for commissioning, with options for delayed active duty to pursue graduate studies.

Focused Coursework
The Army ROTC curriculum develops leadership, critical thinking and team-building skills through progressive coursework and practical experience. Beginning with foundational courses, students advance to topics such as team building, advanced leadership management and adaptive leadership. A leadership training internship provides hands-on experience to prepare students for the challenges of leading in both military and civilian environments.
