Semester and Academic Year Programs

Choose from 200+ programs in 30 countries sponsored by Salve Regina University, affiliated universities and study abroad program providers. You can find a full overview of available exchange and direct enrollment programs on ViaTRM, our online search and application tool.

Note that while exchange and direct enrollment programs look and function similarly when you are abroad, exchange programs often offer cost-saving benefits and generally don’t require the tuition fees that direct enrollment programs do.

My perspective of the world is now greatly enriched beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I was able to experience so many different cultures in only four months. I have friends from all over the world that became my family. It is truly an experience I wish everyone would get the chance to embark on.

Lily Luskin Studied in Rome, Italy

"Italians have this saying and embrace it in their day-to-day lives: 'il dolce far niente.' It means 'the sweetness of doing nothing,' giving your brain a break from the chaos that is often the American way of life. It was refreshing. As I continue my experience, I am working to leave room for relaxation and spontaneous unplanned excursions. I now make plans to allow for the unplanned and leave room for my new Italian life to grow and flourish."

Emily Bernado Studied in Dunedin, New Zealand

"The city is a cultural blend of Māori, Chinese and Scottish, with a whomping population of 25,000 students. The city never sleeps, and right next door is the vast peninsula, home to yellow-eyed penguins, black swans and huge sea lions. In the month I have been here, I explored the forests, gardens, beaches and the rich art and theater this city offers. People prioritize their happiness, family, earth and values over money, and it's been quite refreshing."

Eliana Koenig Studied in Salamanca, Spain

"If I could move Salve anywhere in the world, it would be Salamanca so I wouldn't have to choose between my two favorite places. Being able to say that I am a student of one of the oldest universities in the world (Salamanca) and one of the most beautiful universities in the world (Salve) is something I will tell my kids and grandkids for years to come. I can't wait to see what the future holds."
