Fall Course Registration

Fall Course Registration

Class of 2027

By May 23, students will receive an email invitation to join Canvas, Salve Regina's learning management system. Students will use Canvas to complete an advising and registration checklist, which includes the foreign language placement exam, exploratory advising session, general education course preferences and fiscal acceptance agreement.

The advising and registration checklist must be completed by June 23. It should take approximately six hours to complete all steps. Students cannot register for fall courses until their checklist is complete.

Important Deadlines and Registration Timeline

  • Week of May 22: Advising and course registration checklist opens in Canvas. Begin this checklist as soon as possible, as there are multiple steps that take more than a day to complete. The checklist will take you a minimum of six hours to complete. Do not wait until the last week to complete the checklist, as course registration will prioritize students who complete the checklist first.
  • The checklist will invite students who took Spanish, French or Italian in high school to complete a required foreign language placement exam online.
  • The checklist will require certain majors to meet with an advisor before course registration takes place. See the list of majors that require an advising meeting below.
  • June 23: Deadline to complete the advising and course registration checklist in Canvas. This includes advising meetings for the majors listed below.
  • Month of July: Advisors will register students for their fall semester courses. The checklist must be complete prior to this. Students will receive their fall schedule by August and can meet with an advisor to adjust their schedule if necessary.
  • July 15: Deadline to send transfer credit to Salve Regina (email sruregistrar@salve.edu).
  • Sept. 6: First day of classes for the fall 2023 semester.
