Fall course registration and summer advising consists of two steps.

Step 1: Complete the self-guided "Success Plan" module in TracCloud.

  • Before you can register for classes, you must complete several important steps, including some placement exams, an advising intake form and more. These steps will inform your registration meeting.

Step 2: Attend a virtual Compass advising meeting.

  • Once your success plan is complete, you will attend a one-on-one virtual meeting with a Compass advisor. During this meeting, you will create your fall course schedule and receive individualized support as you prepare for your first semester.
  • Students will be invited to a virtual information session to review the registration process and submit questions to the Compass advising team.

Compass Advising

Upon entering the University, you are assigned a Compass advisor to assist in navigating your Compass experience and aligning your educational experiences with personal, academic and career goals. Compass advisors also connect you with resources and services available throughout campus.

You may have a secondary advisor in your major. International students and students who declare a pre-health or pre-law track will also have a supplemental advisor.

Questions? Many of your questions will be answered in the TracCloud module. If you have additional questions, email compasscenter@salve.edu using your salve.edu address. Our offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET Monday-Friday.

How Your Schedule Impacts Your Bill

Course registration generates your fall bill. If you wish to enroll in the six-month payment plan, it's recommended that you complete the self-guided module and register for courses by June 18 to have your bill processed in time for the first payment. Contact the Bursar's Office at (401) 341-2900 or bursaroffice@salve.edu with any questions about your fall bill.

Resources for New Students

Undergraduate catalog: Each year, Salve publishes academic catalogs that define University policies, such as requirements to graduate.

Programs of study: Defines all majors and minors available to undergraduate students.

FERPA guidelines: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) protects the privacy of education records and provides guidelines for appropriately using and releasing student information records.

AP credit: Beginning in July, the Office of the Registrar receives Advanced Placement (AP) scores for students that designated Salve when they completed their exams. If you did not designate Salve, please contact College Board to order your AP scores. Exam results may require you to adjust your fall schedule. The Compass advising team and the Office of the Registrar will assist you with schedule changes.

International Baccalaureate and college credit: Salve reviews IB and transfer credit as official transcripts are received throughout the summer and notifies students via email of credit awarded. Please make arrangements to have an official transcript sent to the Office of the Registrar upon course completion. Electronic transcripts must be sent by the college or university to sruregistrar@salve.edu; mailed transcripts must be sent to:
