What's My Why?

I’m fascinated by the ways buildings and landscapes tell stories about the past. The built environment isn’t just bricks and mortar—it reflects the people, values, and histories that shaped it. At Salve, I help students read architecture as a text, uncovering how design connects to culture, identity, and memory. I love seeing students realize that history is all around them, not only in books but in the streets, neighborhoods, and campus they walk every day. Teaching here means guiding students to see their surroundings with fresh eyes and a deeper appreciation for the world we live in.
