Academic Center for Excellence peer tutors are undergraduate students in their second year or above. Peer tutors come from diverse backgrounds, have excellent communication skills, are high achievers in their academic discipline and work collaboratively with staff members and students.

Our best tutors often come to us via professor or advisor recommendation. Do you know any rising sophomore (or higher) students who have excellent communication, strong study skills and superb academic achievement in your class? We especially encourage recommendations of non-native English speakers, non-traditional students of any kind, and students who hail from diverse educational, cultural and social backgrounds.
