Transfer Financial Aid and Scholarships

Undergraduate Admissions

Financial Aid

Your eligibility for need-based financial aid is determined by federal Department of Education regulations and University policies governing financial aid programs. All students are encouraged to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Salve Regina’s school code is 003411.

The priority deadline for filing financial aid forms for each academic year is March 1. Please be sure to submit the correct academic year FAFSA. For example, the 2021-2022 FAFSA should be submitted for any student considering enrolling for the fall 2021 or spring 2022 semester.

Financial aid packages are emailed and mailed shortly after acceptance to any student with a FAFSA on file. If you are seeking admission for the spring semester, you should file financial aid paperwork once you have submitted your application. For more information, or to access the required forms online, visit the Office of Financial Aid website.

Scholarships

Transfer students are eligible for academic merit scholarships as well as need-based financial aid. Applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships through the application review process, and recipients are notified in their acceptance packet. Awards are renewable for the remainder of the undergraduate degree and range from $10,000 to $25,500 yearly depending on your individual review. Amounts may be prorated for students who choose to live off campus.

We also offer merit awards of up to $26,500 per year (if living on campus) and $23,000 per year (for commuter students) to Phi Theta Kappa honor society students. Students should indicate if they are members on their Common Application to be eligible.
