We pride ourselves on having a seasoned and professionally developed staff, and are consistently working with schools and students to provide insight into the college admissions process. Salve Summer Getaway
Program dates: July 20-22, 2020

What to Expect
Our three-day, two-night getaway experience allows you to learn more about our University and Newport’s distinctive culture during the summer months. During your stay, you and one adult guest* will reside in our historic upperclassman residence halls.
Monday, July 20: Check in and partake in a historical tour of campus, plus meet Salve Regina staff and faculty at our annual welcome reception on the terrace of Ochre Court, a Gilded Age mansion located on the Cliff Walk along the ocean.
Tuesday, July 21: Enjoy breakfast and spend the morning learning about what makes Salve Regina a special and unique place to live and learn. Later in the day, embark on one of our exciting optional excursions that acquaint you to Aquidneck Island.
Wednesday, July 22: Pack up, enjoy the day in Newport and see you this fall!

The program fee is $50 and includes some of your meals (outlined above), one optional excursion and your housing. The cost of travel to and from campus and the remaining meals are not included. We are happy to provide a shuttle from and back to Rhode Island’s convenient T.F. Green Airport for those arriving within a specified timeframe. *We can accommodate one guest to join you during your stay. Please note, although we are unable to accommodate children for this event, we will gladly host your guest if they are of college searching age.
Please also note that this program does not have predetermined PDP (professional development points) associated with your time on campus. However, if you are able to apply for these independently, we are happy to supply whatever materials are needed, including a printed schedule, session descriptions, presenter biographies and confirmation of participation (upon request).
