What's My Why?

As a member of the admissions team, I have managed many areas of operation, including the campus visit program, student ambassadors, events, new market development and alumni volunteers, while also assisting students and their families across the United States through the admissions process. I currently work with students and families outside the New England area who are exploring the opportunity to study and live in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. I also co-coordinate the Seahawk Alumni and Parent Ambassador Program.

Salve has been my second home for 25 years. The community has brought so many incredible mentors and friends into my life, and it is truly the people that make Salve a special place. The opportunity to live on Aquidneck Island has been a bonus. From wonderful restaurants to the great outdoors, there is something for everyone.

Favorite Spot in Newport:

Walks at Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, evenings at Sachuest Beach and sunset cruises on Narraganset Bay.

Favorite Place on Campus:

The William Watts Sherman House, where I lived during my freshman and sophomore years, and the back patio of Ochre Court.

Advice for Prospective Students:

When you are choosing a college, you are also determining the place you’ll call your home away from home. Love where you live. Build community wherever you land. And when making important decisions, let your heart guide you. Visit the college campus as well as the surrounding community. Once you make the decision on where you'll attend college, make the most of every opportunity. Try new things, challenge yourself, meet new people and stick it out, even when things feel difficult. This is where growth and development truly happen. Take advantage of leadership opportunities, service and other extracurricular activities. You will make lifelong friendships and memories and carry the Salve spirit with you beyond your college years.
