What’s My Why?

My connection to Salve runs deep – my father was a tenured philosophy professor, and I first visited campus as a child to attend University chorus concerts. My brother is also a Salve graduate and the campus was a second home well before I officially enrolled as an undergraduate in 2002.

During more than 15 years as a staff member, I’ve managed events and the campus visit program and worked as program manager in the Office of Mission Integration. I’ve been actively involved in student life as an advisor to performing arts clubs and the national mercy honor society, Sigma Phi Sigma.

My commitment to Salve’s mission extends beyond campus, having served as a delegate to COP28, the UN Climate Action Summit, and contributing to sustainability initiatives as co-chair of the sustainability committee and advisor to the Treehawks. I also directed a community storytelling event for Salve’s 75th anniversary in 2022 and have served as adjunct faculty and vice chair of the Staff Advisory Council.

When not cheering on Salve’s community, I find peace and inspiration outdoors.

Advice for Prospective Students:

Visit campuses during the week for a tour but also spend time exploring on your own. Don’t miss open houses or accepted student days – they’re your chance to meet faculty, staff and students beyond admissions and get a full picture of campus life.
