Professional Experience
I am a professional musician and scholar, and a recipient of numerous grants and awards. I have presented my work at various national conferences, including the American Musicological Society, the Society for American Music, the Modern Language Association, the North American British Music Studies Association and the Renaissance Society of America. My research is published in American Music, The Tennessee Williams Annual Review, The Journal of Singing and Classical Singer, and I regularly provide program notes for the Boston Early Music Festival and other performing organizations. I am also a professional vocalist, director/conductor and singing teacher/vocal coach, and director of music at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church in Providence, Rhode Island.
