What’s My Why?
I am a lifelong Rhode Islander who joined Salve’s admissions team in 2022. My earlier role involved extensive travel across New York state – especially the Hudson Valley, Albany, Westchester and Long Island – to recruit prospective students.
I now support specialized student populations and review applications and offer audition and portfolio guidance for Salve’s visual and performing arts programs – including music, music education, theatre arts, dance and studio art. I also assist transfer students as they make the transition to Salve.
Favorite Spot in Newport:
Thames Street – the energy, the shops, the restaurants. I especially enjoy grabbing coffee at Nitro Bar or Kaffeology while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
Favorite Place on Campus:
A peaceful tree across from O’Hare Academic Building and McAuley Hall, where you can see the ocean, the Cliff Walk and hear the waves if it’s quiet enough.
Advice for Prospective Students:
Visit campus to see if you can picture yourself living and thriving there. Beyond academics, consider the community you’ll join. Explore the school’s clubs and organizations online – they’re great ways to grow, lead and build lasting friendships.
