The Office of Student Engagement is dedicated to enriching your Salve Regina University experience by offering a wide variety of opportunities designed to challenge, entertain and inspire. Our programs foster personal growth, helping you become a stronger leader, build meaningful relationships and connect deeply with the community around you.
Our office supports the co-curricular experience that happens outside the classroom. Students have opportunities to learn about themselves, how to work with others and find their community. We invite students to get involved and explore their passions.

- 8:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday
- 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday
A Hub for Student Life
The newly renovated Gerety Hall is the heart of campus events and student activities, offering late-night dining and a lively space to gather. As the weather warms, its expansive lawn transforms into the perfect backdrop for everything from barbecues and carnival games to cozy bonfires under the stars. Picture yourself lounging in Adirondack chairs, enjoying the sun or joining friends for an impromptu volleyball match – there’s always something to look forward to.

With more than 60 student organizations to choose from, Salve offers endless opportunities to explore your passions and discover new interests. These extracurricular activities foster personal growth, ignite your leadership potential and empower you to make a meaningful impact, all while enriching your college experience and driving positive change on campus and beyond.
Welcoming New Students
New Seahawk Orientation provides new students and their families with an educational and engaging introduction to life at Salve. Featuring several signature events such as the Involvement Fair, giveaways and travel trips, our programming helps students meet new people, learn about University resources and explore the campus and Newport community.
