Santander US has invested in a two-year program to create a $120,000 scholarship fund through the Santander Universities program to help students at Salve Regina University realize the benefits of undergraduate education regardless of their financial background.

“At Santander, we believe in creating opportunities that help every student succeed,” said Mike Bruno, region president of Santander Bank, N.A. “Through our partnership with Salve Regina University we are proud to support initiatives that provide students with the resources, programs and experiences that make a meaningful difference in their education and future careers.”

Salve President Dr. Kelli Armstrong said, “We are incredibly grateful to Santander Universities for their generous investment in Salve students, and support of our commitment to creating an educational environment based on collaboration, innovation and experiential learning. This scholarship grant will open doors for more students to learn, lead and make an impact on their communities and around the globe.”

Separately from the scholarships Santander is funding specifically for Salve students, the company also offers Open Scholarships of up to $20,000 and Santander Open Academy, a global platform available to anyone around the world that offers 100% free educational content and upskilling tools to improve professional skills and employability.
