Social Work
Academic Department
The Department of Social Work builds on the principles of social justice to provide a generalist education that prepares students for work with individuals, families, groups, communities and organizations.
Students learn the values, skills and knowledge needed to intervene effectively on the individual, community and policy level to facilitate systemic change. Consistent with our mission, we strive for the elimination of poverty, the eradication of oppression and the promotion of universal justice.
