Welcome to Salve! You're about to start an exciting new journey as a member of our campus community. This site has important information you'll need to make your transition to the University as seamless as possible. We'll update it often, so bookmark this page and check back regularly.

Housing Registration

Residence hall registration is available through June 13. To complete your housing registration:

  • Visit the My Housing portal and log in with your Salve credentials.
  • Housing registration and roommate matching are available on the left-hand side of the page. Please note that roommate requests are only granted when all students requesting roommates have indicated the option on their respective questionnaire.

You can make changes to your submission until June 13. In mid-July, roommate and room assignments will be sent via email.

Fall Course Registration

For new students, fall course registration and summer advising consists of three steps.

  • Step 1: Complete the self-guided module in the Compass advising and course registration hub.
  • Step 2: Register for fall courses.
  • Step 3: Schedule a Compass advising meeting to complete your fall schedule.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Month of June: Recommended timeframe for students with documented disabilities to submit requests for academic accommodations to Student Accessibility Services. Learn more.

June 1: Preferred deadline to submit requests for housing accommodations to Student Accessibility Services. Housing accommodations are provided on a case-by-case basis due to documented disabilities and medical conditions. Learn more.

June 13: Deadline to submit the housing agreement to Residence Life. The housing agreement and questionnaire is available in the My Housing portal.

June 15: Deadline to submit completed health records. Students who do not complete their health record will be unable to register for spring 2026 courses until the record is received. Learn more.

June 18: Deadline for students who wish to enroll in a six-month payment plan to complete the advising and registration module in Canvas and be registered for courses. Learn more.

June 30: Deadline to apply for Service Plunge, a challenging and fun opportunity to lead and learn through service. Learn more.

Beginning in July: The Office of the Registrar receives Advanced Placement (AP) scores for students who designated Salve on their exams. Exam results and transfer credit may require students to adjust their fall schedules. Learn more.

July 9: Summer Business Day for incoming students and families. Discover campus resources, connect with peers, gain insights into the financial aid and billing procedures, and engage with key individuals to explore financing options for your educational path. Learn more and register.

Mid-July: Housing assignments announced. Instructions for accessing housing assignments will be sent via email.

July 15: Deadline to submit an official high school transcript to the Office of Admissions. Transcripts must include graduation date and final semester grades. College transcripts with final grades for dual enrollment courses and AP or IB score reports can also be submitted at this time.

Aug. 1: Deadline to pay the fall semester tuition bill. Late fees will apply after this date. Learn more.

Aug. 1: Deadline to waive participation in the University’s health insurance plan. Only students who are enrolled in a comparable plan may waive coverage. Learn more and waive coverage.

Beginning in mid-August: Students participating in fall sports arrive on campus for preseason. Move-in dates are sport-specific and student-athletes will receive more information from their coaches.

Aug. 26: Move-in day for international students and U.S. citizens living abroad (if invited by their counselor to attend). Students should complete the registration form by Aug. 10.

Aug. 30: Move-in day for the Class of 2029. Students will report directly to their assigned residence hall for check-in.

Aug. 30 to Sept. 3: New Seahawk Orientation for incoming students. This engaging program is designed to help new students meet people, learn about Salve Regina and its campus and prepare for a successful college career. Learn more.

Aug. 31: Deadline to submit emergency and missing person contact information.

Sept. 4: First day of classes for the fall semester. See the full academic calendar.

May 12: Housing agreements open. The housing agreement and questionnaire provides the Office of Residence Life with the information necessary to assign students a roommate and residence hall room. Housing agreements must be submitted by June 13.

May 15: Deadline to complete financial aid verification paperwork. Students and families selected for verification will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid.

May 15: Deadline for students accepting the federal loans offered in their financial aid award to complete master promissory notes and entrance counseling.

Our Summer Business Day is your chance to get ahead and feel confident about your first year. This optional event is designed to help you and your family connect with key campus services, ask important questions and ensure a smooth transition before move-in day - so you can focus on making memories, not stressing over paperwork.

  • Informative presentations: Learn from the Bursar, Financial Aid and Registrar about financing options, health insurance, University policies, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and more.
  • Q&A with experts: Get your last-minute questions answered by experts from the Bursar, Financial Aid, Registrar, Residence Life, Payroll and Advising, Career and Life Design.
  • Services fair: Connect with campus offices, student loan lenders and local banks to get a head start on what to expect and the next steps before you arrive this fall.
  • Explore campus and dine at Miley: Enjoy lunch with your future classmates, families and friends - your Salve community is already here waiting for you.
