What's My Why?

I love helping students find their footing as college writers and researchers. My goal is to make writing less intimidating and more of a process of exploration and confidence-building. At Salve, small classes allow me to really listen to students’ ideas and guide them in developing skills they’ll use far beyond the classroom.

Professional Experience

I have extensive experience teaching college writing and research, with a focus on helping students gain confidence as writers and critical thinkers. My courses often connect concepts such as archival research with contemporary issues, giving students the chance to see how history and memory shape the present. Beyond the classroom, I’ve designed writing programs, led orientation and student success initiatives, and supported undergraduate research projects. My scholarly work explores the effectiveness of writing instruction. These experiences allow me to create supportive, engaging learning environments where students can grow as writers, researchers and individuals.
