What's My Why?
I love being a social worker because it allows me to reimagine what is possible for individuals, communities and the profession itself. Social work is not just a career for me; it’s a calling rooted in the power of empathy, advocacy and transformation. I find deep fulfillment in supporting clients and students as they overcome barriers, realize their strengths and achieve their goals. What drives me most is the opportunity to share knowledge, elevate others and inspire hope. As an educator and mentor, I am passionate about preparing the next generation of social workers to lead with integrity, innovation and compassion. I find tremendous joy in academia, creating learning environments that empower students.
Professional Experience
I am a licensed clinical social worker and emerging Doctor of Social Work with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, systems leadership, crisis intervention, quality improvement and workforce development. My professional journey has been rooted in reimagining what social work can be - at both the individual and systems levels.
With a foundation in both clinical and macro social work, I lead with a trauma-informed, strengths-based and equity-driven lens. I have directed transformative initiatives within state systems, developed best practice models to improve the lives of vulnerable populations, and provided strategic leadership that aligns policy with client-centered outcomes. As a trainer, educator and mentor, I find profound joy in supporting the growth of emerging social workers - fostering critical thinking, compassion and confidence in the next generation.
I am passionate about advancing the role of social work as a dynamic, solution-focused profession capable of disrupting inequities, inspiring collective change and supporting individuals in realizing their full potential. Whether in the classroom, at the policy table or in clinical consultation, I aim to elevate social work practice with creativity, empathy and purpose.
