Graduate Commencement
3 p.m. Thursday, May 16, McAuley Hall lawn
All candidates intending to participate in Commencement exercises must be in their assigned seat in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall (O'Hare Academic Building) by 2 p.m. If you are not in your seat by that time, your name will not be called during the ceremony. There will be no exceptions.
Please allow yourself and your family plenty of time for traveling to the University, finding a parking place, preparing your attire for the procession and locating your seat in Bazarsky. Directions for the academic procession will be given at this time. Before leaving home, be certain that you have your cap, gown, hood and tassel. The academic procession into the tent will begin at 2:30 p.m. Guests should be seated by that time. The ceremony will end about 4:30 p.m.
Baccalaureate Mass
4 p.m. Saturday, May 18, Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
Graduates and guests who wish to participate in this liturgical ceremony are asked to be seated in the chapel by 3:45 p.m. Regalia is not required.
Any student with a relative who is a Roman Catholic priest or deacon may request that he be invited to concelebrate/assist at the Baccalaureate Mass. A clergy request form must be completed and should be emailed to scott.pontes@salve.edu by April 15. Concelebrants will need a letter of good standing from their superior/bishop and are asked to bring their own alb and a white stole.
Undergraduate Commencement
10 a.m. Sunday, May 19, McAuley Hall lawn
All candidates intending to participate in Commencement exercises must be in their assigned seat in the Rodgers Recreation Center by 8:15 a.m. If you are not in your seat by that time, your name will not be called during the ceremony. There will be no exceptions.
Please allow yourself and your family plenty of time for traveling to the University, finding a parking place, preparing your attire for the procession and locating your seat in Rodgers. Directions for the academic procession will be given at this time. Before leaving home, be certain that you have your cap, gown, hood and tassel. The academic procession into the tent will begin at 9:15 a.m. Guests should be seated by that time. The ceremony will end about noon.
