Leadership Scholars Program
The Leadership Scholars Program at Salve Regina University empowers a select group of students to become dynamic, forward-thinking leaders equipped to inspire change in any environment. Focused on facilitative and transformational leadership, the program builds a strong foundation of skills essential for advancement in today’s complex organizations.
Through interactive seminars and exclusive networking opportunities, students engage directly with influential leaders from campus, local communities, businesses, nonprofits and government. These experiences help students craft a versatile leadership toolbox - one they will carry with them throughout their personal and professional journeys. Rooted in the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy, the program challenges scholars to lead with purpose, addressing society's most urgent issues with compassion and courage.
Leadership Scholars graduate with more than just theoretical knowledge - they develop the confidence and practical skills to lead from any position, at any stage in their careers.

Year One
Students begin to develop their leadership toolkit through the Leadership 101 seminar series. They receive a foundational overview of leadership styles and philosophies through speakers and interactive programming.

Years Two and Three
Leadership Scholars actively enhance their leadership skills by engaging in meaningful campus opportunities, such as the Nuala Pell Leadership Program, serving as an orientation leader, First Year Studio peer mentor, resident advisor or participating in the student ambassador program. In addition to these hands-on roles, scholars take part in a series of Leadership in Action seminars, where campus and community leaders explore leadership through the lens of the Critical Concerns, empowering students to develop their leadership style while addressing today’s most pressing social challenges.

Year Four
Students participate in the vice presidents' luncheon series, which brings program participants together with University leadership to discuss the five key themes of mercy-inspired leadership: Social change, service, calling, vocation and teamwork. Students also complete reflections on their involvement in their chosen leadership program(s).
