What's My Why?
I enjoy educating our future nurse practitioners and Doctor of Nursing Practice students, as my goals are to improve health care access, advance the nurse practitioner profession, foster better patient outcomes and drive innovation. As a professor, I want to build and enhance essential leadership skills. I also want to motivate nurse practitioners to publish so we can disseminate their work in the field. Finally, I am passionate about creating global citizens by sharing my international and national work to improve healthcare access.
Professional Experience
In addition to my role at Salve, I am a business owner. I saved a TSA worker at Boston Logan Airport when he had a cardiac arrest. This led to receiving awards at the Massachusetts State House and Fenway Park and an award from Big Papi (David Ortiz) from the Boston Red Sox at a MassPort award ceremony. I had a unique platform to educate the public, which I used to discuss the importance of learning CPR since it is a life skill.
