Conditional Admission
International Admissions
English is the language of instruction at Salve Regina. We will offer conditional admission to academically qualified international students who need to improve their English proficiency.
Eligibility
Follow the normal process to apply for admission. Complete the Common Application and submit the required school transcripts and letters of recommendation by the appropriate deadline.
Evidence of English ability can be met with one of several English proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS and Duolingo. If you do not have test scores or plan to take an English proficiency test in the near future, please let us know so we can proceed with the evaluation of your application.
Conditional Admission
We review everything that we ask students to submit. If your academic record qualifies for admission but your English ability falls below our standards, you may be offered conditional admission.
Conditional admission is good news. You receive a formal acceptance letter indicating that you have met all University requirements except English proficiency. We will ask you to work on your English skills and provide us with new test scores that qualify for direct admission or admission with English for Academic Purposes (EAP). You also have the option to complete an approved ESL or pathway program.
Admission
When you meet the English proficiency requirement, we will send you a new letter of admission along with information about submitting the enrollment deposit and financial certification, obtaining an I-20 and arriving on campus.
If you received a merit scholarship with your conditional admission, the scholarship will carry over with your new offer of admission.
