Professional Experience:

I am currently the deputy chief of police for the Portsmouth (R.I.) Police Department, holding the rank of major. I oversee all department operations to include the patrol division, detective division, administrative division, civilian employees, reserve officers and public safety officers. Over my 16 years of experience, I have been heavily involved in budgeting, criminal investigations, internal investigations, accreditation, information technology and CJIS compliance, as well as media relations.

In addition to my work at the Portsmouth Police Department, I was a member of the Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force from 2013 to 2018. I am also a member of the Rhode Island Joint Cyber Task Force. Through this partnership, I was able to earn my Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification through ISC2.

I've attended numerous leadership, management, investigative and cyber related training courses, to include the FBI's New England Regional Command College. Over the years, I've received three Chief's Awards and the Rhode Island Attorney General's Criminal Justice Award as a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
