Housing accommodations are provided on a case-by-case basis due to documented disabilities and medical conditions. To qualify as an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) covered disability, the student must have a current condition that substantially limits a major life activity, and the accommodation must be necessary and reasonable. A diagnosis in and of itself does not automatically qualify for accommodations. To receive consideration for medical conditions not covered by the ADA, this form must be completed, but accommodations are not guaranteed. Any student wishing to be considered for academic accommodations must be on file with the Academic Center for Excellence.
The preferred timeline for new student housing requests is July 1 for the fall semester and Dec. 1 for the spring semester. The preferred deadline for returning students is March 1 for rising sophomores and February 15 for rising juniors and seniors.

Students are also advised to contact the Office of Disability Services at (401) 341-3150 to arrange for academic accommodations if they are needed.
