Personal Statement:
Originally from St. Louis, I decided in fifth grade that I was going to attend one of the U.S. military academies. I graduated from one and had the opportunity to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. When I was thinking about what came next, someone who knew me well suggested I look into a particular kind of graduate program that I had never heard of before. I was immediately intrigued and followed up by attaining my graduate degree and starting a career in higher education. As soon as I knew that career development was a particular aspect of that work, it had my heart, and I have had progressive leadership roles in a variety of universities literally across the country. I started my higher ed career in Rhode Island and moved back in 2023. The Salve Compass is one of the most amazing programs I have ever seen an institution commit to on behalf of its students, and I am thrilled to be a part of that vision and have a chance to work alongside my colleagues in the Center for Advising, Career and Life Design.
