Personal Statement:
When I think of Salve, as an alumnus who returned to work with our team, it’s still my “top school!” As a counselor, I’m able to connect students to our campus directly so they can experience the support that comes with being a Salve Seahawk. The one-on-one treatment that I received while researching Salve continued through my four years as a student and is a part of the culture here.
My favorite part of Salve’s campus are the connections to the Cliff Walk. I’m an avid outdoorsperson and reader, so having the ocean horizon along with historic buildings offers plenty for being active, day dreaming or finding creative inspiration.
A piece of advice I recommend for the college search is to write or discuss how you felt after a campus visit or talking to a college representative. With so many colleges to look at, it’s important to remember what it was like to be on campus and if you could see yourself there. Whether that’s a talk with friends, family, or a page in a notebook somewhere, take a minute to focus on what matters to you most.
