Resources for Transfer Students
You will receive emails with information about course registration and academic advising shortly after your deposit is processed. Once you have received your Salve Regina credentials and your credits have been evaluated, you are welcome to begin registering for courses. Please see the course registration page for more detailed instructions. Your schedule can also be created or reviewed at Orientation.
Transfer students attend a one-day Orientation just prior to the start of each semester. For more information, please see the Orientation page.

You will be enrolled in a Transfer Transitions course (FYT200-01), which meets one day a week. This is required of all transfer students. It's a great opportunity to meet other students who transfer to Salve Regina.
There are a number of requirements from Health Services. Please be mindful of any deadlines and complete the University health form at salve.edu/office-service/health-services.
- Pay the semester tuition bill. Learn more about payment options.
- Waive participation in the University's accident and sickness insurance plan (optional). Learn more about student medical insurance.
- Waive tuition refund insurance (optional). Learn more about tuition refund insurance.
- Purchase personal property insurance (optional). Learn more about personal property insurance.
- Deposit money on the Salve Card, which can be used for purchases both on campus and at select vendors off campus. Learn more about the Salve Card.
- Open a bank account. Salve Regina has partnered with Santander to provide banking solutions for students, and a Santander ATM is located in the garden level of Miley Hall. Learn more about student banking.

Make sure you are communicating with the Office of Admissions and the Office of the Registrar for your transfer credits. Your official transfer credit evaluation will be emailed to you roughly two weeks after your acceptance. If you are currently taking courses, when grades are available, please send your official college transcript to Salve Regina University, Office of Admissions, 100 Ochre Point Ave., Newport, RI 02840. In-progress credits will not be applied to your transcript until this is received. More information is available at salve.edu/registrar/transfer-credit.
All transfer students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States are eligible to be considered for financial aid. Please complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Financial aid awards will be emailed and mailed shortly after you are accepted, if your FAFSA is on file. Please refer to the Office of Financial Aid website for information about financial aid at Salve Regina.
Please note: If you are applying for the spring (January) semester, the FAFSA year is the academic year you will be matriculating at Salve Regina.
Salve Regina provides housing to transfer students on a space-available basis. The Office of Residence Life works through the summer to house interested incoming students and advise upperclassmen on off-campus housing options.
Building/room assignments, roommate contact information, meal plans and important arrival dates are available to view through the portal. To view your housing assignment, log in the portal and click "WebAdvisor for Students" (under My Information in the right sidebar). Then click "Student Housing" and choose "MyHousing."
