As part of the University Relations team, the Office of Digital Communications coordinates the salve.edu website, SALVEtoday, broadcast email, branding guidelines, digital signage, social media and video production. Digital Communications collaborates with offices and departments across campus to strategize marketing campaigns for events, programs and initiatives.
Event Promotion and Scheduling
Campus events must be scheduled through the Resource 25 (R25) system. As R25 cannot adequately push information to other sources such as salve.edu or SALVEtoday, a public calendar of events is needed for proper promotion and visibility for multiple audiences.
If your event is open to others on campus or to the public at large, please complete the event submission form for placement on Salve Regina's public calendar of events. Notification should be made only after receiving confirmation that your event has been approved for space via R25.
SALVEtoday, the news and information website of Salve Regina, is published by the Office of Digital Communications and updated daily throughout the academic year. Parents, alumni and friends are invited to register for the SALVEtoday Update, a weekly email newsletter, by visiting today.salve.edu. To submit items for SALVEtoday, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Broadcast email messages may be transmitted to the University community as a whole, or to designated groups such as faculty, staff, class years and graduate students.
Broadcast emails are intended to inform the Salve Regina community about matters relating to University operations, campus safety and technological alerts. Requests for participation or solicitations for involvement are granted only if they pertain directly to academic, volunteer and community service activities that are non-event oriented. Individual events are not promoted via broadcast email due to the sheer volume of events on campus.
