Our four-course certificate programs are designed for students looking for continued professional development without the formal pursuit of a master's degree. Our certificate programs in administration of justice – including digital forensics and leadership in justice – offer students the opportunity to broaden their professional careers with topics that are crucial in today's environment.
Our digital forensics certificate introduces students to the fundamental principles and techniques of computer network architecture, proper evidence storage collection, and federal rules and criminal codes. Graduates understand how foreign, state-sponsored threat actors target certain institutions and companies and how to thwart those threats.
Focusing on strategic management in a multicultural, technological and collaborative environment, our leadership in justice certificate combines a core administration of justice focus with electives in the management and holistic leadership fields.
Certificates may be completed entirely online, although courses are also offered at our Newport campus and in a hybrid classroom/online format.
Our emphasis on cyber education encompasses an array of skills, including acquiring, extracting and analyzing data that is often useful for criminal investigation and civil litigation cases. In addition to criminal and civil investigations, it also plays a major role in intelligence and counterterrorism matters.
Our digital forensics lab provides the hands-on instruction students need to fill crucial jobs in the fields of cybersecurity and digital forensics. Training also prepares students for the demanding, industry-driven certifying examinations specific to these emerging fields.
Our administration of justice courses are taught by seasoned professionals who are experts in their field. Instructors work one-on-one with students to meet their individual needs while serving as career-focused mentors. Our faculty also assist students in landing worthwhile internships that may provide key networking and career opportunities.
