Salve Regina's Hydroponics Club, a group interested in innovative ways to create sustainable growing methods, provides an opportunity for students of all majors to learn about sustainable, clean and functional agriculture.
Faces of the Refugee Crisis
As part of Dr. Chad Raymond's University Seminar course, students visited the Refugee Dream Center in Providence and gained new perspective on the humanitarian crisis of displaced peoples fleeing unimaginable conditions.

Cyber Defense Study
A $180,000 grant from CAE is funding a cybersecurity defense research study conducted by Jennifer McArdle, assistant professor in the Department of Administration of Justice. Ten Salve Regina students, both graduate and undergraduate, are working on the project as research assistants.
Economic Impact Study
Business students generated a professional economic impact study of Newport's Naval Undersea Warfare Center, which was presented to the state's congressional delegation and other state officials in a special campus event.

Cultural and historic preservation students don't need to go far to get their hands dirty with Dr. Jon Marcoux. Newport's colonial history provides local opportunities for students to learn the ins and outs of excavation and the perils of low ceilings.

"Siege of Newport" Analysis
Salve Regina students, in collaboration with the Middletown Historical Society, completed an investigative analysis of the Siege of Newport, a 1778 battle fought from opposing hills in Middletown that became one of the largest military operations of the Revolution.

Choreography Showcase
Salve Regina’s dance minors present their new works in the annual Student Choreography Showcase, directed by assistant professor of dance Lindsay Guarino.
Molecular Gastronomy
Each year, Sodexo Dining Services and Salve Regina's chemistry majors team up for "Molecular Gastronomy Day," which showcases culinary innovation and shows students that chemistry is an important ingredient in everyday life.

Runoff Roulette
Assistant professor Bert Emerson and students from his weekend workshop cleaned up Bailey Brook, an important tributary for the region's drinking water, to research the damaging effects of stormwater runoff on the environment and human health.
