Health Services offers acute care for illnesses and minor accidents, chronic care for individuals with conditions that require monitoring, immunizations, laboratory testing, pharmacy delivery, specialist referrals, women's health and health education.
All undergraduate students are eligible to utilize Health Services. Faculty and staff are welcome for minor acute problems that occur during work hours.
Most primary care services are free for full-time students, although students are responsible for the cost of prescription drugs, immunizations and some medical supplies. Students should bring their Salve Regina ID and proof of prescription insurance to all visits.
Health Services works with Newport Hospital to assist students during non-office hours. In emergency situations, students should go to the Newport Hospital emergency room or call 911 or the University's emergency line at (401) 341-2325.
Health information is confidential and cannot be released without written permission, except upon court order, as required by law or as required, in our judgment, to protect you or others from immediate physical danger.
Class of 2015
Students who are graduating in May should pick up a copy of their immunization record before graduation. This may be needed for future employment or graduate school.
Graduating senior women who are due for their women's health exam may make an appointment by calling Health Services at (401) 341-2904. Appointments will be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15.
