The Office of Residence Life at Salve Regina University provides students with safe and healthy living spaces that support their personal and academic aspirations. By living on campus, our students have opportunities to connect with a community of peers and become considerate neighbors who learn from each other. First-Year Residence Halls

Located near academic buildings, Salve Regina’s first-year residence halls offer the perfect introduction to campus living. These residence halls feature communal spaces and additional opportunities for students to develop new friendships and pursue new campus interests. 

Nethercliffe

Upper-Level Residence Halls

Salve Regina’s upper-level residence halls offer a variety of living options, including apartment-style layouts and rooms in historic buildings. Upper-level residence halls are scattered throughout our historic campus, with academic and dining facilities in close proximity.

Residence halls close at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16
Residence halls reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14

Spring break

Residence halls close at 8 p.m. Friday, March 8
Residence halls reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday, March 17

Easter break

Residence halls close at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27
Residence halls reopen at 9 a.m. Monday, April 1

End of the academic year

Living on Salve Regina’s Campus 

Living on campus offers once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to connect with new people, seek out a student organization or attend an intriguing event. Situated along the famed Cliff Walk, Salve Regina’s coastal campus is quite walkable and features 21 historically significant structures. Our distinctive campus has been designated a Level II arboretum, with mature and exotic trees dotting the landscape. Students can also easily venture into Newport on foot or by public transportation to extend their experience.

The Office of Residence Life at Salve Regina facilitates the campus living experience and addresses student concerns. Our mission calls us to prepare students for responsible lives by imparting and expanding knowledge, developing skills and cultivating enduring values.
