March 31: Newport Hospital flower project (Full)

Volunteers are needed Tuesday, March 31 to make flower arrangements for patients at Newport Hospital. Volunteers will meet in Wakehurst, Room 201 from 6-8 p.m. and all supplies will be provided.
Transportation: Not available for this on-campus event.
Volunteer cap: 10

April 7: Methodist Community Gardens (seniors only)

Volunteers are needed from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7 to help with painting and harvesting at the Methodist Community Gardens.
Transportation: Van transportation is provided. Pick up at Miley Hall at 8:45 a.m., return at 11 a.m.
Volunteer cap: 50

April 8: Methodist Community Gardens (seniors only)

Volunteers are needed from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 to help with painting and harvesting at the Methodist Community Gardens.
Transportation: Van transportation is provided. Pick up at Miley Hall at 12:45 p.m., return at 4 p.m.

April 9: MLK Center's "Swing Into Spring"

Volunteers are needed Thursday, April 9 for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center’s annual “Swing Into Spring” event at the Atlantic Beach Club. More details TBA.
Transportation: This service site is on the trolley line. Volunteers should consult the trolley schedule.

April 10: Rebuilding Together (seniors only)

Volunteers are needed from 1-4 p.m. Friday, April 10 to cleanup and do yard work on Ward Avenue for Rebuilding Together.
Transportation: This service site is within walking distance and transportation is not available.

April 17: Salvation Army (sophomores only)

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, April 17 to clean the outdoor spaces and garden at the Salvation Army.
Transportation: This service site is on the trolley line. Volunteers should consult the trolley schedule.

April 17: Child & Family (sophomores only)

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 17 to work with children and spread mulch at Child & Family.
Transportation: Van transportation is provided. Pick up at Miley Hall at 9:45 a.m., return at 1 p.m.

April 17: Ballard Park (sophomores only)

Volunteers are needed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 17 to paint and clean up trash at Ballard Park.
Transportation: Van transportation is provided. Pick up at Miley Hall at 10:45 a.m., return at 1 p.m.

April 17: Mumford Manor (sophomores only)

Volunteers are needed from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 17 to clean gardens at landscape at Mumford Manor.
Transportation: Van transportation is provided. Pick up at Miley Hall at 1:15 p.m., return at 3:30 p.m.

April 17: Egg hunt and field day (sophomores only)

Volunteers are needed from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, April 17 to help with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center's egg hunt and field day on campus. Volunteers will meet in front of Wakehurst.
Transportation: Not available for this on-campus event.

April 22: Aquidneck Land Trust

Volunteers are needed Wednesday, April 22 to help the Aquidneck Land Trust with an Earth Day cleanup (time and location TBA).

April 22: Clean Ocean Access

Volunteers are needed from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 22 to help Clean Ocean Access with an Earth Day beach cleanup. Volunteers will meet at the Marine Avenue entrance to the Cliff Walk.
Transportation: This service site is within walking distance and transportation is not available.

April 25: Friends of the Waterfront

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25 to help Friends of the Waterfront with an Earth Day cleanup at King Park in Newport. Gloves and bags will be supplied by the city. All volunteers will receive a recyclable grocery/beach tote and refreshments.
Transportation: This service site is within walking distance and transportation is not available.

April 25: Rebuilding Together

Volunteers are needed from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25 to do yard cleanups on Ward Avenue for Rebuilding Together.

Volunteers are needed Thursday, April 30 to help the Office of Community Service with its end-of-the-year food drive in the residence halls. More details TBA.
