Cost of Attendance

Financial Aid

Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of school-related charges (direct cost) and other expenses (indirect cost) a student will incur while enrolled during the academic year. COA is used to determine eligibility for financial aid programs as well as provide students guidance when constructing their personal budget for the academic year. Estimates of the COA are based on the average student's experience and may vary based on housing, food, academic program and other decisions. The University and the Board of Trustees reserve the right to revise general or specific fees to reflect economic conditions.

What's Included in the COA?

Direct Cost

  • Tuition and fees
  • Housing and food (for on-campus students)

Indirect Cost

  • Living expenses (for off-campus students/living with family)
  • Books and supplies
  • Transportation
  • Personal/miscellaneous expenses
  • Loan fees (only applies to federal loans)
  • Professional licensure*

*Licensures and certifications: Students in an academic program that requires them to obtain a certification or licensure with associated costs may request a COA adjustment by contacting the Office of Financial Aid.
