Dear Salve Regina community,
Please be reminded that students should submit their chosen option for Thanksgiving break by 4 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 30. See Tuesday's Back to Salve update to review options.
The start date for the 2021 spring semester has been adjusted to better accommodate needs due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic. Based on guidance from the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Salve Regina will extend its winter break through mid-January and will not have a spring break this year. Options surrounding the Easter holiday will be determined at a later point in time given the fluid nature of the pandemic.
Classes will now resume Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. The new start date does not impact dates for the end of the semester. The last day of classes remains the same (Friday, April 23, 2021) and final exams will still be held Monday, April 26 through Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Commencement dates for the Class of 2021 and the postponed 2020 Commencement celebration remain the same at this time.
Information for the spring semester regarding travel back to campus, potential quarantine procedures and testing will be shared at a later date through our standard channels of communication.
