March 7 - To the Salve Regina community: On-demand asymptomatic testing is now available
Dear Salve Regina community,
Beginning this week, the University will offer free, on-demand asymptomatic COVID-19 testing for students and employees.
Tests will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the testing site on the side porch of Drexel Hall, which is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday. These are PCR tests processed through Salve Regina's partnership with the Broad Institute, and results are generally available the next business day.
Please note that the asymptomatic testing site will be closed March 14-18 for spring break.
Students and employees who are required to participate in surveillance testing will continue to operate as before.
Undergraduate students who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should continue to contact Health Services at (401) 341-2904 for evaluation and rapid PCR testing. Please note that Health Services and the respiratory clinic will be closed March 14-18 for spring break.
Graduate students and employees can locate symptomatic testing sites at covid.ri.gov/testing.
