Feb. 1 - To the Salve Regina community: Easing of temporary mitigation measures

Dear Salve Regina community,

We appreciate your patience and cooperation with the temporary COVID-19 mitigation measures we implemented at the beginning of the spring semester. Given the declining rate of cases on campus, we are pleased to announce that some of these measures will be lifted beginning today.

Measures that are lifted effective immediately:

  • Large-scale events and programs that are open to the campus community and the general public may be held in person.
  • Spectators will be allowed at athletic competitions and performances.
  • External events using University facilities may resume.

Measures that will continue through at least Feb. 14:

  • Miley dining hall will offer to-go options, and all dining locations on campus will have reduced seating capacity.
  • Non-Salve Regina guests will not be permitted in the residence halls.
  • Food and beverages will not be served at any meetings or gatherings.

Masks continue to be required in all indoor public spaces on campus regardless of vaccination status or immunity, and event organizers are reminded to have a plan in place to ensure 100% mask compliance.

Make sure your mask:

  • Completely covers your nose and mouth.
  • Fits snugly against the side of your face and doesn't have gaps.
  • Has a nose wire to prevent air from leaking out the top.
