SRU Dance presents spring performance April 15-16

SRU Dance, Salve Regina’s student-run dance organization, will present its spring performance, “Move,” on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 in the Rodgers Recreation Center.

This spring’s performance will feature 24 dances in styles of hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary and Irish step. The club boasts more than 120 performers.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Admission to Friday’s performance is at least a $1 donation to the Andrea Rizzo Foundation, while admission to Saturday’s performance is $5. At both shows, children young enough to sit on an adult’s lap are admitted free.

A Salve Regina graduate, Andrea Rizzo was tragically killed by a drunk driver at age 24. The foundation established in her name raises money for children’s cancer research through dance therapy programs. The members of SRU Dance continue to support “Drea’s Dream” and help the foundation in any way they can.
