March 30 - To off-campus residents: Stay-at-home order

Dear off-campus residents,

We know the past few weeks have had their challenges and we appreciate your cooperation, patience and understanding as we navigate the changes that impact us not only as members of the Salve Regina community, but also as residents of Aquidneck Island. Please know that the University continues to be in contact with many state and local agencies amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Per order of Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo, if you have recently returned to Rhode Island, or are planning to return in the future, you must self-quarantine for 14 days. If you are not currently under self-quarantine, remember that Rhode Island has a stay-at-home order in place until Monday, April 13. This means that you should stay home unless getting food, medicine, gas or going to work.

Mandatory travel screening form: The Rhode Island Department of Health is collecting information from out-of-state travelers and seasonal residents to assist in the state's response to the coronavirus pandemic. You must complete the travel screening form if you recently returned to Rhode Island from another state or territory or a location outside the United States. Please be aware that the National Guard will be going door-to-door to check on seasonal residents and maintain compliance with the governor's order.

It continues to be the University's recommendation that all Salve Regina students remain in their permanent residences through the end of the semester. Please do not return to your off-campus housing if you haven't done so already. Please also note that the number of individuals who can gather at any one time is now five. Also remember to maintain social distancing practices.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us at (401) 341-2145 or You may also visit Virtual Salve to find the latest information and resources pertaining to off-campus residents.
