Our four-course Certificate of Graduate Studies (CGS) programs are designed for students who hold a bachelor's degree and are looking for continued professional development opportunities. We offer certificates in nonprofit management and social entrepreneurship.
Our certificates in business studies allow students to select a four-course program that directly relates to their personal career goals.
The certificate in nonprofit management aims to sharpen students' existing skills and expand their knowledge into new areas. Coursework focuses on marketing, fundraising and financial management in both the private and public sectors. The certificate in social entrepreneurship is uniquely aligned with the University's mission and explores social responsibility for people, community and the environment.
While certificates are usually completed online, select courses may be offered at our Newport campus. In addition, students in good academic standing may apply the courses taken for the Certificate of Graduate Studies toward the 12 courses required for an MBA or M.S. in innovation and strategic management.
Graduate certificates are scholarly and practical additions to a bachelor’s or a master’s degree. They can expand on a business background or augment another major with timely applications for work in various fields.
