Sleep is a basic necessity of life, as important as air, food and water. Getting the proper amount of sleep can determine whether we wake up feeling refreshed or depleted. Sleep deprivation can comprise job productivity, relationships, health, safety and more.
This "Lunch and Learn" workshop will cover general information and myths about sleep and explore how sleep affects physical and emotional health. Participants will discover how sleep works and recognize the symptoms and consequences of sleep deprivation. Participants will receive practical, healthy sleep tips and relaxation techniques that can be used to get a better night's sleep and gain an understanding of the factors that can disrupt sleep, including sleep disorders.
A light healthy lunch will be served. This workshop qualifies for the 2020 wellness rewards program.
