Encounter the beauty of Islamic tiling with Dr. Carol Gibbons, professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, and Dr. Jayme Hennessy, professor in the Department of Religious and Theological Studies. They will share insights and experiences from their sabbatical research in Spain and Morocco.

Explore the heritage of Islamic geometric design in mosques, madrassas, palaces and present-day workshops of the artists and artisans of the Naji family in Fez. Consider how these designs may open one to an experience of the infinite.
