Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will discuss "dark money" and a path for reform.
American politics is awash in so-called dark money, swamping elections and tilting the United States Supreme Court. In this presentation, United States Senator Sheldon Whitehouse details the evidence and offers a path to reform that would shine a light on the extent of the influence of big-dollar donors in American public life and curb their power.
This event will be held outside on the lawn of the Ochre Court. There will be limited number of seats available. Please bring your beach chair and/or blanket for sitting. In the event of inclement weather, this discussion will be held inside Ochre Court.
This event is in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Newport County.
