April 28 - To Class of 2020 undergraduate students: Senior activities during Commencement weekend

Dear Class of 2020,

Due to pandemic restrictions and low registration, your senior events will be merged into a single night of celebration. The clambake will no longer be held in the afternoon, and instead will be combined with the Commencement Ball, which will now take place in Ochre Court from 6-11 p.m. Saturday, May 15.

We invite our 2020 graduates back to campus to celebrate their Commencement with a cocktail hour, passed hors d’oeuvres, sit-down three-course dinner and DJ for entertainment and music. The event will still be formal and you should dress accordingly, however black-tie formal is optional.

As a result of these changes, the cost of the Commencement Ball is now $20. If you previously purchased tickets totaling more than $20, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method. If you are no longer able to attend, please email studentactivities@salve.edu.

Tickets for the Commencement Ball are available through Eventbrite. The deadline to purchase tickets is noon Friday, April 30.

As a reminder, if you are participating in activities on Saturday, May 15 and/or the Commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 16, you will be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test administered within 48 hours of the event/ceremony upon check-in. Per Rhode Island guidelines, this requirement applies even if you are fully vaccinated.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Student Engagement at (401) 341-2915 or studentactivities@salve.edu. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to celebrating with you.
