Stonor/Drexel Halls

Stonor Hall and Drexel Hall, the former hennery and hen keeper's cottage for Catherine Lorillard Wolfe's sprawling Vinland estate, house the Office of Admissions. The admissions lobby is located in Stonor Hall.

Designed by the famed architectural firm of Peabody & Stearns, these two shingle-style cottages - connected by a large wooden archway - were completed in 1885. Salve Regina acquired the buildings in 1962 and received a historic preservation award from the Newport Historical Society in 2003 for their exterior restoration.
